I am a Sister of St Joseph of the New South Wales region. While involved in primary school teaching, I acquired a Masters in Education from Australian Catholic University and later a Masters in Theology from Sydney School of Divinity. In 1994 I was asked to undertake training in spiritual direction which I did through the Centre for Religious Development in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Since 1996, after my return from Boston, I have been involved in spiritual direction and retreats at Baulkham Hills and other centres, along with Mission Ministry in Aged Care. While still engaged in the ministry of spiritual direction in a part time capacity I responded to the call to parish ministry both in Mullumbimby and now in Ardlethan, Beckom and Ariah Park small, rural towns in the Riverina. Ardlethan is one of three parishes of the Temora Mission.
Favourite scripture: “You God are all I have, / You give me all I need, / My life is in your hands.” An adaptation of Psalm 16
Favourite book: A book that has captured my heart recently is The Boy, The Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy.
Favourite movie: Babettes’ Feast (among others) – there’s something about it that is Eucharistic; there is always enough when we share and open our hearts.
Memorable moment: Being at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney, on the day of the Canonisation of Mary MacKillop. It was an occasion of wonder and awe as I witnessed the hundreds of people flock into the grounds, pray at the tomb and share their stories of the wonders that Mary had done for them.
