MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Members of the Conference of Spiritual Directors Australia (CSD Australia) are required to:

• hold a qualification from an Australian Ecumenical Council for Spiritual Direction (AECSD) – Recognised Formation Programs (a list of these programs is available on the resources page)
• receive regular spiritual direction
• receive regular supervision (minimum six hours per year to be recorded on the annual renewal form)
• engage in professional development (minimum six hours per year to be recorded on the annual renewal form)
• adhere to the current AECSD Code of Ethics (available on the resources page)
• pay an annual membership fee due on 1 July each year.  (AU$75 for the year 2023/2024)

To renew each year a Renewal Declaration Form is to be completed and returned to the Chair (Rita) chair@csdaustralia.com Your Certificate of Membership will be issued after receiving this form. 

To become a member:

• complete the CSD Australia membership application form and return by email to the Chair (Rita) chair@csdaustralia.com or by post (this form includes the names and contact numbers of two referees who are CSD Australia members)
• on acceptance, and invoice will be issued for the annual membership fee of AU$75 per financial year. (The cost for members who join during the year will be calculated pro-rata).

New Graduates:

Those who have completed one of the recognised formation programs may apply for a complimentary year of membership in the following year. If the program is completed by December this is for the following calendar year. If the program is completed by June this is for the following financial year. Application is via the process as outlined above.
