I am a member of the Sisters of Mercy, Parramatta. I was born in China and have been living in Australia for many years, initially ministering in pastoral care at a hospital and in an aged care facility. I have always loved being with people and accompanying them in their life journey, deeply appreciating the uniqueness of each person. In 2019 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Direction through Siloam, Heart of Life Centre and YTU in Melbourne. During my studies, I deeply experienced the love of God and felt strongly drawn to accompany others in their spiritual yearnings. Following completion of my studies in Siloam, I was blessed to be offered an opportunity to be a Spiritual Director at St Mary’s Towers Retreat Centre in Douglas Park and have ministered there until the Centre’s closure last month. I have loved, and still love to accompany people in their spiritual journeying, both in person and online. I feel this is an immense privilege that has been granted to me. I enjoy music, nature and quiet.
Favourite Scripture: Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (Jn 14:6)
Favourite Book: I don’t have any favourite authors, but I do love reading non-fiction, especially biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs.
Favourite Movie: The Sound of Music
Memorable Moment: When I saw this magnificent tree at St Joseph’s Spirituality Centre in Kincumber, I was stunned with its majesty and was deeply awed by its stature and strong root system. I was drawn to approach it, stand silently, in its embrace.
