For quite some time before becoming a spiritual accompanier, I had been feeling always drawn to working with people one on one. I had always found this experience being with people in this personal space and time, sharing something uniquely for them and me, at times just sharing the time, the silence and the presence with each other quite rewarding and meaningful.

Since working as an accompanier (along with my vocation as a formator for my religious community) until now I have been affirmed in this calling to be with people in their personal journey. I have encountered people from different walks and natures of life – lay, religious, men and women, LGBTQIA+ community, young and older, pious and broken, seekers of God and those resisting God’s presence in their lives. The more I am with them, the more I realise why God loves us – because there is always a deep-seated goodness and beauty within each one of us.

Favourite Quote:             “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.” – M. Scott Peck

Memorable Moment:      The moment was when I visited the Holy Land in December 2022, and was able to celebrate mass in the Church of the Garden of Gethsemane in front of the prayer stone where Jesus presumed to lean on while praying to his Abba before his passion and death.
