I did my training in spiritual direction at the Josephite Centre in North Sydney in 2002 prior to taking up a role at the Marist Asia Pacific Centre in Manila for 6 years. Part of my role there was to teach Scripture and Mariology as well as offer Spiritual Direction and Vocational Accompaniment to young religious from the Asia Pacific region – immensely rewarding work. I followed that with 2 years in the Marist Novitiate in Lomeri, Fiji. Currently, I live in Bendigo, Victoria where I am accredited to offer SD in the Sandhurst Diocese. I would also be open to doing SD online. A refresher week at Heart of Life Centre in December 2019 was also very valuable. It has been a joy to also direct people through retreat experiences.

Favourite scripture: 1 John 4: 16. “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him.”

Favourite book: Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina.

Favourite film: As It Is In Heaven.

Memorable moment: Just after PNG Independence was proclaimed in Sept 1975, I was with 2 others on an island of Tarawai, an idyllic setting – sitting on a broken wharf, water lapping gently beneath us, full moon, breeze in the trees. There was a moment of total harmony between the 3 of us (was this a glimpse of the Trinity?) and the environment. I have had a deep sense of being one with God and all of life ever since. Something magical in the moment.
