I first felt the attraction/call to spiritual direction ministry around the time I was training in social work (1998-1999). However, much maturing was needed before this aligned with reality.  Training eventually emerged through my own spiritual director and I participated in a four year program (2011-2014) here in Newcastle. I have since maintained a small practice alongside other life commitments. Spiritual direction training has sparked opportunities to facilitate workshops and retreats in spirituality to the general public, workplaces, churches and spiritual communities locally.  As a long-time member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) I am also involved in co-facilitating a year-long spiritual deepening program, Food for the Soul, through the Silver Wattle Quaker Centre on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country.  I am grateful, delighted and enriched by these opportunities to accompany others into the Divine Heart.

Favourite Scripture:           “Luke 24.13-35 (Road to Emmaus)

Favourite Book:                  ‘The Mountain behind the Mountain’ by Noel Dermot O’Donoghue

Favourite Movie:                 The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Memorable Moment:            My moment is a pilgrimage to a Glendalough earlier this year.  Glendalough is a spiritual and natural wonderland.  To walk this sacred site over a period of a week was to be filled with its ancient presence, aliveness and hope.
